It's the opposite for me. They had huge luck against us while today they should be ahead by more than one. Wasted 2 great counters.

Well yeah they were lucky but it has to do with us being much better compared to Madrid. We played better and naturally they would need some luck. But defended pretty well and used their opportunities.

The problem of Madrid is that their conservative style puts them at the mercy of the inspiration of their attackers. All of them were quiet in front of Atletico's well drilled defense.

Indeed. That last free kick looked almost like a penalty. Ancelotti's style is based on counter attack and spaces. Atletico gave them none, so they reverted to long range barrage tactics.

Lucky for Madrid that only 2 teams in CL are capable of putting this type of defense. Atletico and Inter. City defense is a bad joke by comparison.

Both Gimenez and Lenglet are mistake prone though. Lenglet already on a yellow, perhaps it's good so he's not as rash as he can be.

What are you arguing though? That penalty was lucky for AM? Sure. That it wasn't a penalty? No chance. In these situations, it's a fuck-up from the defender, goes for the ball, gets nowhere near it, and lands on the opponent's foot.
