I agree for Asencio though, I don't like his attitude on the pitch but that's part of being Madrid defender I guess. But he's definitely a great defender, very fast and knows to tackle and also solid on the ball. Reminds very much of Ramos although he has a long way to go.

Not hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. The fact it was essentially a dead ball aint the main thing, or that contact was absolutely minimal. The main thing is, that both players contested the cross equally with neither having advantage in situation. Besides Touchu was a fraction faster already having his toes on the ground with heel up, while the forward momentum of Atletico player did the rest.

Feet on the ground, while Touchu being late let alone studs up challenge, that would be a penalty. Not this ridiculous shit.

But that's what Madrid needs in the defence unfortunately.

imo it was soft to give it. But I read somewhere according to commentator Tchouameni deprives the player of the chance to pick the ball up from the rebound. Don’t know what to make of it.

The Madrid fans will try to tell you that a stamp on the foot, for which they have received at least 20 penalties for since the introduction of VAR, is suddenly not a penalty.

However, there was one and only one scandalous decision tonight. And that was not to send off Ceballos for his potential leg breaking challenge in the first half.

Atleti robbed.
