Its 'fuck off' but despite what he is trying to claim they are both as ignorant and disrespectful as the other.

He has been told the report has the words 'fuck you' and Real are trying to say Referee got it wrong as actually said 'fuck off' and to himself as it means something very different.

Complete and utter lies from Real as expected.

I mean as English speakers, I think there is a different in the context of using "You" and "Off".

You is more direct while Off is more of an individual outlash. While with Bellend it's linked directly to a refereeing decision each time. Should be indefensible and I am glad the referee finally clamped down on this abuse.

Bellends done this in practically each of the last 5 games or more and it must have the referees biting their tongues not to act on it.

From Madrid's perspective, why would you even want to defend your marketable English star shouting the Fuck word after each and every decision, and abusing officials.

Classless club that should just say that they do not condone the use of foul language has a place in professional football.

Fuck off is also an insult when you direct it at someone. It's an insulting way to tell someone to go away.

Yeah they are at it by trying to claim the referee took it out of context and using him putting the wrong words in report as evidence referee did not have understanding of situation.

Following the referee who is telling you to stop questioning him and then telling him to 'fuck off' is red card worthy.

You can see by look on his face when turns round he knows it. Almost looks like panicking and about to apologise then red card whipped out.

To add extra layer to the debate about direct and indirect insults, a lot also comes down to timing as to how it will be interpreted.
