Ps all those 4 players will have a legit chance of being starters for Spain at the WC.

Vivian is probably the best defender in LA Liga this season.

Sancet is clearly something special
Nico is already a starter
Simon is the starter for Spain.

Bilboa has definitely done this before in recent memory.

And why are those players doing well? Maybe the coach actually has something to do with it?

And they have a very talented bunch of players coming through right now and a manager who isn't capable of having players push beyond a certain level.

Valverde has absolutely nothing to do with how talented the likes of sancet and Nico are.

He's a good manager but someone like emery would have them playing better football and being a certain top 4 finish

Or simeone would have them playing similar or worse football,but achieving more.

Their are one striker away from being as good as atleti.

Definitely better than everyone else in La Liga and it's not even close.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he would be sacked or anything, he's doing a good job and I hope they win the EL.

But with the talent they have right now, which is DEFINITELY the best they've had in a very very long time.

A more ambitious manager could have them pushing harder.

Bilbao always had NT players, always had couple of very goid players. That isn't the closest to their best team in this century, and they gave won their first CDR in 40 year and overachieving by wide margin thanks to great coaching.

EV is absolutely great in that level, likes of Simeone or Emery won't do better when they aren't able to make any signing, while in consistent threat of losing their best players

Bilbao are one of if not the best coached teams in the league and the improvement of their players like any the coach gets credit for.

This Bilboa side is the best squad they have 1-23 in at least the last 20 years.

As Messi said in trying to defend one of his favorite Managers, that are legit a striker away from challenging for the title, when was the last time we said that about atleti?

Not even when they had llorente and whatever his name was fans said that, because the overall XI and or the squad was weak.

Nor have they ever in living memory have 4 players who could legit be starters for Spain, they had squad players and Max 2 starting level players, most likely one.

Both good coaches and Simeone achieved more probably.. but EV the better coach for likes of Barca and teams that want to play and win in a certain way.

Those players mentioned are not world-class quality. Bilbao's squad on paper imo is good for like 7th or 8th. The gap between that and top4 gets very big.

And keep in mind the likes of Atletico spending 150m in a single window, Bilbao is a team that can't even buy players, the difference in resources is astronomical.

I do think EV is really overperforming and improving the players but we will see if and when he ever leaves.
