Central defense and left back positions are thinnest and Flick should use every opportunity to give a break to Cubarsi/Inigo and Balde.
Once Araujo and Christensen are back, we have enough depth on every position to rotate but the striker.

Even there I can see Raph working as a 9 under Flick due to the dinamic setup and Yamal + Olmo backing him.

Olmo staying fit is a big weapon. He can play both as midfielder and as a forward.

Espanyol coach way too confident. Says he knows our weaknesses and they will win the game. He analyzed the game against Getafe (which Getafe lost and was lucky not to get 3 or 4 chipped because of some horrible misses by our players) and will learn from it, apparently  .

Weaknesses that Ancelotti, Valverde, Kompany and even Pep in pre season have all failed to exploit

Will only make the manita more delicious tbh.

Interesting. Only heard Flick's presser. That guy is in for a harsh awakening.

He was holding 3 at halftime against Valverde's Bilbao a few days ago. He says they will "run like animals" against Barça. Probably unaware that Barça players also had a week long rest and will be running like Bolt from his defenders perspective.

So, here's the thing. A certain psychological phenomenon.

In a game like this, vs Espanyol, the level of expected excitement is limited, unless there's some dynamics that counter the expectations and create a drama show.
I like when a weaker team takes a lead, even by two goals, then there's a comeback and final victory...that makes it more joyful.

On the other hand, there's this predatory approach...killem, destroy them, rape them...5-0 before half time...but then in the 2nd half, is there any fun left to watch the show of beating on a dead horse at all?

Idk I generally enjoy watching us nuke other clubs more than remontadas. For example Valladolid was an immense experience, behind only Bayern and Madrid this season so far.

But watching as a neutral it's different story. Fun is dead at 3 goal difference.

Puta Espanyol, 2nd biggest rival in the league. Hope the boys destroy them today, still having a good memory 2 seasons ago when we won the title on their ground and send them to Segunda.. History repeats itself they say

It will be a tough game initially with Espanyol putting in an extra shift against us. If we can get 1 or 2 goals game will be different and open up. Think they'll park the double-decker.
