They were already getting joy from Busquets and fuck ups from him as soon as started pressuring with higher line.

Repeating the same idiocy in every thread about Busi, proves you are butthurt about your favorite midfielder being exposed :D when busi went out.

keep the copium.

Nah Busquets was his usual self and sloppy when Espanyol started to press.

FDJ was not good at DM either.

Easy.

Decent first hour. I think we should?ve gotten a penalty in the first half and probably none in the second so that kinda evens it out (the one in the first half would also mean a red for the Espanyol player).

Mingueza isn?t good enough for Barcelona and will never be. Araujo had a horrible cameo too.

Lack of midfield plus the team being tired from actually doing something could?ve cost us the game in the end.

Soooo bad. I mean bad. This is why we need a pragmatic manager. You cannot make a Fiat into a Ferrari. At this present time 433 is absolutely the wrong formation to go with. We need a team that is reinforced defensively and doesn't crumble at the first sign of pressure. I would get a proper DM and pair him with De Jong in a double pivot. We also need a cb. We should not be spending money on forwards.

For 4 3 3, there was not enough forwards on the field. Gavi is not a striker. It is necessary to be more flexible. But it is also necessary to take into account the games of the national teams, fatigue.

I think many expects to much from Xavi
He has a bad squad to work with
So many positions needs better players.

I don't think Gavi really played as a winger, more like a bit everywhere. Xavi had even Frenkie push for breakaways now and then. (Gavi is probably supposed to cover for him).

Two mediocre teams, Barca barely managed to come out in front this time. This Barca team can lose to any opponent. It's not the manager, it's the players. They are pretty good in some respects, but all in all, well below CL level. Unlikely to be relegated, maybe the young players will even get valuable experience in Copa and the Europa League. If Xavi does very well, Barca will qualify again for CL as soon as 2023-2024.

Xavi isn't magician, he is just a human after all.. Time will be needed, but I see some great potential for the future.. Nothing comes over night, Xavi will need time and support.. In just 2 years Barca has lost Suarez and Messi, wich is a big blow.. Real Madrid on the other hand lost Ronaldo and struggle since 2018 and they kept most of their key players.. Then there is also financial crisis at Barca, we have to accept the fact trophies will be rare in coming years but I do believe Barca will be back at top one day and Xavi is the right coach to bring them back on top where Barcelona belongs..

Very lucky to win this game by a penalty and them hitting the post more than once.

Liked our right winger. Can't say much about Xavi as it was the first game and some players only had two trainings under his guidance. Lots of work to do, obviously.
