La Liga Round 16: Mallorca - Barca 1-5

Wonderful Win, a real confidence booster even though i still think it looks to fragmented and disjointed when we play. That many whistles on the play helped with that ofc but still, very little control, more individual brilliance, and well the offside trap naturally...
Pretty much Bumsi's style. We can't control games when we don't finish our chances. If opposition finish theirs then it's a bad day, if not we can get back by scoring.
People look at the final score and take that as the absolute metric. When in fact we didn't dominate until game was out of reach for Mallorca and they collapsed.
Yamal being the key factor in this win.

We dominated them in every department.
The offside trap did not work once, they scored.
Other than that they created NOTHING, not even a visit in our box that was not offside

You still 'don't get' football after so many years of watching.
Feel sorry for you

First half we could have scored 3 goals. They created 0 basically

Also about offside trap working again I put it down more to Mallorca playing with Muriqi who is a target forward not someone who would look to beat you with runs behind the defense. Let's see how we'll do against faster and more mobile strikers. Vitor and Abde could cause us lot of problems.

Strikers aren't the ones who should beat the offside trap anyway. 'Easiest' solution is to use striker as a decoy to activate the trap and then go forward from a deeper position, just like how Maffeo did.

Yes but Muriqi was the one who was caught offside the most.

Doubters crying about how we didnt play well after a 5-1 win on a tough away ground is a statement to his greatness

We literally played the fastest forwards in the world in Clasico and they got embarrassed in front of the whole world by our offside trap

Strange. Nico is neither a genius nor is he better in any relevant aspect than Raphinha.

Lamine is actually complimented with a player that openes so much space as Raphinha and that is a good finisher (also Raphinha). In both metrics our Brazilian is superior to Nico

The genius is Lamine and you have to support special talents like this with players who can augment their skillset and do it with fluidity that is intuitive...like the one he shares with Nico

It’s the chemistry, they sync like so many WC combos in attacking football history while being great mates off the pitch - plus, it’s merely the beginning of their partnership with La Roja. Combining them at Barça can pay dividends in the way it did with Leo & Suarez or Ronnie & Samu.

This is beyond all the tangibles he already possesses as a LW that is coveted by any club

If you missed how electric this spark is then you weren’t paying attention, there’s nothing like this in football currently

Pretty much certain there is and it's wonderful. It's Raphinha playing alongside Lamine in our very club.

Also, you based your theory of them playing 5/6 matches together.

Third point: Neither Lamine nor Nico are finishers. Clinical and pacey forward is what compliments Lamine.
