Flick refuses to park the bus but also doesn't make offensive subs, could have brought on Fermin, Victor earlier. Something.

So effectively 1 point behind RM and on the same point as AM by Christmas, who would have thought that with the amazing beginning to the season we had.
That lead disappeared a little to fast for an exiting second half of the season unfortunately
We are not 1 point behind Real Madrid. They have Girona and Valencia away to win if they want to be on the top. It's more than possible for them to drop points in both games.

looks like the early escape from the peleton was too early after all. Time to regroup. I hope that there's going to be another peak in the decisive moment of the season where final stages of UCL are around the corner. I am probably more neutral, and objective than most here, so I can tell you these games are night and day better from what it looked like under Xavi. In this very match though, the chances to score were far and between plus this Betis side, also in previous seasons, is not so easy to beat.

Yamal carries this team so hard it's crazy. We need another player on the left that can do something besides wait for Yamal to set them up all game

You are right. You can compare it with Xavis Dembele. Flick needs Yamal like Xavi needed Dembele. Sad but true. Nothing special to BE seen in this coach

What games do you watch. Literally what Vardrid thought when they signed the turtle, just play a quadrillion winger and somehow it'll work.

Problem is Balde, who is really the player moving outside not being an threat whatsoever.

Calm down. You're saying we don't need a better player on the left side? Just because trash Madrid failed a signing doesn't mean we shouldn't try for one. Hell we failed multiple ourselves but we need another creator b3cause it's all Yamal every game lately.

Furthermore, Koundé sent a clear message about how Barça should manage the final minutes when they are ahead on the scoreboard: "We have to risk less in the final minutes. We still have to be more pragmatic."

He gets it, now someone say this to that German idiot, lol.

Last games were worse than under Xavi. I don't remember getting that badly dominated by likes of Sociedad, Celta, and Betis with Xavi.

So it's not quite as straightforward. Last season 13 - 5 shots for Barca on Villamarin. This season 12 - 9 for Betis. So Xavi dealt with Betis pressure much better.

Flick is trying to get us playing something else, and for now he needs some time.

If we had Xavi given how poor madrid are, we would probably still be 6 points ahead right now.

He's shown he can beat Madrid head to head, probably out played or matched them in the two league games last season and won't have drop points in the games we have so far.

Games just wouldn't be a pretty as they were at the start of the season.

But let's just hope flick gets it right, I really want the title this year.

I don't know about that. Hungry Xavi from 2022-23 for sure. But last season he seemed spent and done tbh.

But the 2022-23 Xavi walks this league no doubt.

He lost both games though, and its getting the win that counts against Madrid, not sure we can say for certain.

He would be more efficient at beating mid table clubs than Flick though.
