Araujo/ Martinez pairing?

Flick is resting Curbasi for a reason. He wants to test the pairing of Araujo and Martinez to see who will get the other starting spot beside Cubarsi. The early return from injury by Inigo brought up the challege of who will have the other starting spot besides Curbasi, much quicker than anticipated given how well the Curbasi/Martinez pairing worked a
so well from the start of the season.

Martinez is good at timing, intelligent play, organisation and playing out from the back but lacking in pace,aerials and man marking compared to Araujo. Araujo lacks considerably in intelligence for good timing(tackles/offside) and ability to play out but but gets 90-95%% at pace,aerials and man marking.


Whoever impresses more gets the starting spot. The other will be for rotation/substitution going forward, as we approach the business end of the season.
