Kinda yeah. Either team smashes or get smashed. Moody team. Pep was probably the only coach that ever got them to play consistently good. Not great all the time, but never really bad also. Seems that every other coach has had really bad downfalls and good high ups.

Let's see, Barca usually a bit rusty after a long break. 8 days rest should mean everyone are at 100% but won't mean they are match fit from get go. Usually takes 1-2 halves to gel again.
