The chance of messing up this game is far higher playing this way than pressing them and killing the game with 3-1.

Dominated is a bit of an overstatement. Villareal hardly produced anything of note and we had better chances to close the game.

Should've done better? Yes. Did we panic? No. We were OK.

Yeah embarrasing is the right word.
Not one Villarreal player is better than one Barcelona player, still they looked to be the better team for most of the game and Barcelona had to waste time being one man up and even brought yet another defender on to defend.

It will all be forgotten by most because of the 3p, and Koeman will be praised in a few weeks even when he loses points in the coming games, as the rivals are underperforming as well.

A lot of games under Valverde were won like this. With only difference both goals would've come from Messi and with less movement in team.
