There would be a place for him, but he's shown poor adaptive skills to match his current situation. Basically, he can't be anything else than hero player demanding the ball all the time and making plays.

He can't play wide. Can't play striker. Can't play classic AM because of poor workrate. He can only be an old no10 who does little to no defensive work and demands the action to be made through him far too often.
