OK, I respect that. Disagree also. Who knows, if we had Kroos maybe we would've made the CL double, since all of our midfielders were burnt out when we were knocked out by Madrid. In that instance, having only 3 top midfielders and playing them all the time wasn't that great, was it? When there are opportunities like signing Kroos you have to take them. If it doesn't work, you sell him and still make a profit. You surely don't let Madrid take him on a free.

I don't think it was a question of letting RM snatch him. Knowing we wanted Rakitic, I doubt Kroos would be content with a rotational role for unspecified amount of years. Pure speculation of course, but I really think it was a matter signing either of the two back then.
I do agree that there are obvious pros of having more world class players in the squad, but there are just as obvious cons, and speculation regarding titles, and what if we had signed X, is futile at best, as I see it.

I don't think they are playing bad. They don't creat that many chances, true, and are over reliant on crosses as a tool to unlock tight defences, but the thing is, they are more clinical with the chances they create. They score when they have to, and defend when they have to, and switch well between the two, depending on their interest in certain moments in the game.
