Even though I don't like I'm kinda warming up to the Memphis rumors. Simply because it wouldn't put us in hell and would allow us to sign a proper striker in a season or two.
Not gonna lie, I always had the opinion that Lautaro is a talented player who looks like he has it all on his best day, but those days come way too rarely to commit that much money on him.

Mendy has been nothing special at all for Real and will need to improve a lot going forward but did get better towards end of season.

There is nothing to suggest that Messi want to play with him. It's like those rumors in the early 2010s when the press claimed Messi demanded Barca sign Aguero or Higuain.

Those rumors were probably BS, but the fee that was being talked about back then was like 70m.

He would have been better than any Barca wide player bar Messi, can play both sides and works hard.
For a small enough fee would have been decent and much better player than likes of Malcolm.

Maybe if we knew how to give out anything other than 5 year contracts at 100 million a year or whatever it is these days.
