That's just an embarrassing attitude.

Seems like most people have been brainwashed into forgotten what football is about. Which is really sad.

Winning a cup is 100% about football. The sport. Finishing 4th is all about business.

No, finishing fourth is about getting into the Champions League, and a crack at a far superior competition and cup. I don't believe for a second that you would take fourth over the Carling cup if offered.

It might be an insignificant trophy to clubs that are regularly winning things, but when you haven't won a thing in years anything is good. It would be a turning point, a sign of better things to come. Of course the players themselves would have to adopt that mentality as they could very well blow it if they become too complacent.

I suppose getting a spot into the CL is "better" than winning this cup but I think the club needs to start small again before aspiring to something bigger.

Cup win ---> back into Europa League ---> do well there, get used to European competition again and fight for CL spot in 2012/13.

Couldn't sleep last night.........6 years without a trophy does that to you.

The only thing I wish for is that we don't think we only have to turn up to win, because we WILL need to work hard to win today.

With us in finals they are never relaxing games, I mean we're never 2-0 or 3-0 up and can relax - it is usually a tense and tight game in terms of the scoreline.
