The name of Thiago Motta is gaining weight inside the Barcelona board. Close advisors of Joan Laporta has been suggesting his name to the president. Deco has had contacts with his entourage, who’ve convinced him that he will be interested in joining Barça. He will prioritise the offer from the Blaugrana over any other club, given the case that a formal offer arrives. His quality of football impresses people at Barcelona, however, his experience raises a doubt.

Take this with a grain of salt

WOW!
where did you find this gem?
One can see the times when Laporta Rossel Barto were part of the same board, and Laporta was still thin

On a serious note, the documentary portrays nicely how the group that won under Laporta in 2003 were all successful professionals with no political/financial backings and no nepotistic connections to the club.
There was a reason why Cryuff supported Laporta's move back then: the club needed radical change from Nunista and Gaspar regimes and ways of doing things.
Just like it needs now...

Would be incredibly interesting to see what Motta could do with this group of players.

If not Motta, keep Xavi and stop fucking around. Gives the club an enormously unprofessional look when it seems like decisions are made based on Laportas feelings from day to day.

He was literally in the press begging Xavi to stay for months.

Have no sympathy left for this fat liar after the way he treated the best player in the history of this club.

Unfortunately I'm old enough to have seen it when it aired. It is a gem though, and in a sad way shows what could have been if this team could have survived the politics, self ambitions and stayed together.

Really emphasises three things: the leadership, charisma and crisis management of Laporta and that the real brains of the team were Soriano and Rosell. Soriano wanted to franchise the Barcelona brand globally, something he led at Man City.

Was never too keen on Txiki as SD though, more of someone with the right connections and right place at right time than outstanding in the role.

I like Motta. He does a great job at Bologna. Caught some of their games recently, and they played very nice. I'd prefer Tuchel, but from the B names, Motta should be high in our list. The Porto guy is also a good manager. All three have leader qualities.

Laporta still has it's part that made him a good president, all the energy hype dusted us out of the total sleep, taking the needed sacrifices, but Rosell always had the fabulous ideas and disastrous ones too.
Him bringing Ronaldinho and then Neymar is the kind of decisions that Laporta never made, neither Bartomeu.
Lewandowski is not a coincidence and sadly neither Ferran for a VG student.
Is rather hilarious that Perez learned more from Barcelona than Barcelona.

If they're up in their feelings due to Xavi's comments to the press then they'll have a seizure due to Conceicao's constant whining.
