There are 2 options. Yamal Cancelo swap or Lewa in for Cancelo and Ferran on the right. But Ferran has a yellow, so first one ia better.

Lewa would destroy our plan.. we playing defensively and pressing in the middle..lewa means more spaces for madrid because he doesn't run

Need some pace up front a couple of times if Felix was faster he's have done more on the counter.

Midfield has been great so far.

Defensively as well.

We lack any threat on counter. I agree. We need some legs. If our plan is to sit back next half, put the kid in Guiu. He has quicker legs over Torres. Yamal better winger than Felix.

Felix and Torres are meh if we are countering.

I can't emphasize enough how much of a huge win it is having a guy like Fermin come in and play like this.

Think last year when we missed Frenkie and Pedri and had Kessie and someone else in.

This midfield with Gundy and Fermin is so much better (so far!).

But basically we lost Kessie, Frenkie, Pedri and Busi compared to last year and only added Gundy (coz Oriol is a dud starter wise and on the bench).

Fermin breaking through has been a godsend. And still, what is coming from behind in LaMasia is even bigger (from a potential point of view).

It just shows La Masia has still got the magic even to this day.
The players coming through youth setup are still better than most of the players we sign, even though it was said other academies have 'caught up'.

The youth just understand our style of play and our culture better, its clear that La Masia is still the foundation of our success even today.

The added bonus is we are starting to produce athletes as well as with the technical skill (Balde, Fermin, Gavi if want to count him, guys like Guiu etc).

A guy like Fermin has already at his young age been much better than Kessie was.

He would be world class player for Atletico if he had pace. Talent is there.

Cancelo is defensively better than Lamal. No chance. Maybe Raphinha if he's fit. The team needs to defend in a compact manner and not give Madrid space.

True, but Raphinha won't help with the pace issue much. Probably slower than Cancelo. Plus he will never get past Mendy.

The press is nice also, because every time Madrid play a long ball, our backline picks it up with no fuss. Barca are much superior in the air vs this Madrid attack.

We haven't done anything special, but Madrid looks toothless upfront, our defense is compact
