They really aren't that good anymore. They won that title through an insane defense, which at the moment, is barely good. Also with a goalkeeper in insane form. Not any more.

Losing to Las Palmas who Madrid made look like villagers is a bad sign.

Atletico have decent team this season.. not close to Barcas squad really but settled and decent while Simeone is their biggest asset.

Next season and forward could be tougher for them.

Have been spending much less than Barca and Real while Griezmann and Morata could both be gone. Koke is ageing as is some of their back line.

Be difficult for them to replace those players if start going.

Still need Madrid to end their lucky streak. Have managed to get quite a lot of points at the end of games and through some dubious ref decisions.

Atletico getting the title if Barca can't is ideal scenario.

Atletico winning title would be an absolute embarrasement for Barca given resources of both and players have.

Dont think they will though.

Would fancy Barca and Real to finish comfortably ahead of them.

Atletico under Simeone have reached their ceiling imo. They just aren't and won't ever be good enough to sustain a title challenge, that ship is sailing.

I'm more worried about Madrid and also Girona. Girona probably can't win the title but they can challenge for it and put pressure on us in our fixtures.

If any team shouldnt be able to sustain it its Girona, Atletico can well be in it for the title.
