The German keeper in the place of Jordi Masip is the only change with respect to the side that faced Real Sociedad midweek
Barça were at the Ciutat Esportiva on Saturday evening for the final workout before Sunday’s 12.00pm CET kick-off at Betis. In fact, no sooner was the session over than the players started preparing for the trip to the airport and a flight to Seville, where they’ll be spending the night in preparation for an unusually early start.
Once the session had concluded, manager Luis Enrique, who also gave a press conference this afternoon, announced the names of the eighteen players that will be joining him in Andalusia.
With Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Rafinha all forced absentees through injury, Jordi Masip is the only available player that won’t be making the trip. It means Marc-André ter Stegen is back in the squad after being rested for the midweek cup tie against Real Sociedad.
The complete squad is thus as follows: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Piqué, Rakitic, Denis Suárez, Arda Turan, Luis Suárez, Messi, Neymar Jr, Mascherano, Paco Alcácer, Jordi Alba, Digne, Sergi Roberto, André Gomes, Aleix Vidal, Umtiti and Mathieu.
