Lionel Messi - v7

I knew it, but when I saw his big smile when his goal was denied I am certain. Messi LOVES football. It's not work or passion for him, he lives with the game. He might miss his BFF Suarez, but he sure as hell likes how we play right now.

I see the team not looking for him as much, and I see him working harder off the ball. If he can give us 2-3 years like that and then retire, it would be great.

If we continue like this, we will look much better in CL as well.

Considering the things he said I don't feel he believed in this team last season. Not after Anfield. Let's hope this game's trend continues.

You're welcome
We can expect a very motivated Messi. I think the team depending all the time on him was also why he lost his enjoyment. Might not see the ball as much but at least he?ll be part of a solid team instead of making up 80% of it.

My sentiments as well. If the team/he continue in this mould, would be great to see him retire at Barca with 1, maybe 2 more LL and respectable showings in the CL. We're not at the absolute top but I think with a proper RW like Trincao/Dembele instead of Griezmann and Pjanic instead of Busquets we're anywhere from 3rd to 6th strongest team in the world.

Closed down plenty, some good combination play, caused the 2nd goal. You Barca fans spewing your hate need to log out until the end of the match I think

Yea, CL ship has sailed, but 2 La Ligas until retirement would be insane. He'd be on what 12 championships career wise? That's unheard of in modern era, especially in a top 2 league.
