Lionel Messi - v7

His minutes need to be managed, especially at this stage of his career. Someone needs to explain that to him. Did he really need to play yesterday? We would have been fine without him imo and he would have been fresh for the Clasico.

He wants to play 90 minutes every game but by February/March his legs will be gone.

To rest him in one game would only make sense if he'd give more in the following match. As in he's more fresh and he can run more and help his team more. If he doesn't want to do that, it's useless to have him skipping games.

His work rate is low with a lot of moments where he walks and is not in the game. He can easily play at this pace in every game even when it's more congested in terms of schedule.

Messi has smiled a few times but yeah, he doesn't want to be here most likely. maybe part of it is the lack of crowd also, these games look and probably feel like training sessions

 For real, the discussion in the last page or so is if Messi smiled or not...

This kind of discussion is expected after that Messi's interview with Goal.

Every body language of his is going to scrutinized more than ever by fans and media.

I really don't care if he smiles or not as long as we win matches.

What kind of emo crap is this? Following who smiles or not. These guys are highly paid professionals. I'd rather prefer professional attitude than smiling to each other like amigos. Maybe this is even better for likes of Messi, who has used to this club as a fraternity house, where everyone just chills out.
