Lionel Messi - v7

We could have avoided this and let him go in August. We all seen it coming.

Half his problem is he doesn't look bothered half the time. Then it looks like he's forcing it too much. He definitely doesn't trust his teammates.

He would probably suck even there

Yea, would be made to look even worse by fitness freak Ronaldo, who's stronger, faster, more professional, more ambitious, and scores more than him.

His best bet is to move to the USA or something and retire from elite football.

I've said all season he needs to move to Italy where it's a lot slower and an old man league, but starting him today was ridiculous given the international break.

I keep saying this too on this forum. He would still achieve glory in Serie A and help a team win the serie a or have a really good shot at it. Also marketing wise it would be really good for him too, renews the Messi vs CR7 rivalry. In EPL? No chance, he might get exposed even more there and threaten his legacy more

There is fitness freak Ronaldo and then there is normal football fitness. Messi isnt even close to the fitness of a 80 year old grandpa.

Ronaldo is the better player now and it is not particularly close.

Watching them both play the desire and what they give to two poor teams is night and day.

Scary thing is he is better and neither are close to best in world.

A 38 year old Zlatan scores every week over there, Quagriela top scored at 36.

Sure, but Zlatan is also very fit for his age, very professional, and genetically gifted. Ronaldo the same. You can still be successful in Serie A at an old age, but not by slacking and walking.

Also, there would be no point. It's like a former super-champion fighting on some undercard and in low-level bouts. When you no longer have what it takes to fight for the World Title, just retire.

Remember that metric which showed Felix running 6,4 km and Messi 4,2. He is a passenger. We can't rebuild while he is here. It seemed as if all of his passes were intercepted today.

If you watch Zlatan and Quagriela, you'll see that they're always involved in their team buildup and press, unlike Messi who strolls anyhow sometimes . Messi is surely going downhill if he doesn't up his game and stamina

Cazorla with no achilles dominated La Liga at 35, Messi and Ronaldo barely running banged in goals last season.

Italy is not some super easy league in comparison. Both are poor and likes of Zlatan would score in both.

No doubt. The striker profession is taken very seriously in Serie A. That's why you have great scorers like Di Natale, Quagliarela, Luca Toni a while ago, Ronaldo now and so on.

I said it few weeks ago, his passing has declined as well, they look so slow and he needs so much time to pass the ball. Also we dont see much though balls from him anymore.
