I envy those who were at the Bayern 2015 CL semis home leg. Never seen an atmosphere like that or a Messi performance like that to set the atmosphere even more alight.

I watched a game vs. Osasuna back in 12-13 when Messi played like a man possessed. Scored a poker.

Haven't always had the best luck with the very few games live I have watched

christ, no. because 1) he wont win the Copa (bet me on this. he will not) and 2) being KOd in the CL round of 16 by a direct BDOR rival contender (mpabbe) scoring a hattrick in his own stadium doesnt exactly seem like a bdor-winning season. its not like he was eliminated in the semi final or something. 3) he wont be european golden boot, nor will he have a 35+ domestic goals campaign.

in conclusion: not even close. this is the bdor we are talking about not a consolation prize for not winning big team trophies

You have to consider the situation. Barca in bankrupt state, no striker, losing Suarez etc. He has done insanely well since the first 8, games.

every club and player deals with unforeseen and difficult circumstances. what the voters look at first and foremost is titles and achievements. messi doesnt have enough of those this year to win it over others who have done better domestically (lewa) and in the elite competitions (mbappe)

Haven’t been since 2016/17 season but went to 3 games that season. 2/3 of the games were ridiculous.

Was first game of the season vs Betis, was boiling nearly 30 degrees. What a game, felt like an exhibition game tbh

Catalan Derby, Messi was on fucking fire... if he’d managed to finish that 2nd goal instead of Suarez would have been in his top 10 imo:

Other game that season was a 1-0 vs Granada with Rafinha scoring. Was a real stinker, think I pushed my luck with the other two games.
