Lionel Messi - v7

It would be interesting to see him in a super squad at City. If they sign Messi, Kane, Nuno Mendes, and a DM...they could have Bayern like dominance of English football in the coming years. PSG is probably still most likely if he does leave, although their squad would need a bit more tinkering for it to work out very well.

It would be a bad look to go to a team that just won the CL. Which, of course, isn't guaranteed but given Chelsea's recent clown shows, may be likely.

With regards to PSG, while the grass is greener, I think if they lose Mbappe and add Messi, they become a worse team (because Messi at 34/35 isn't going to run counter attacks like Mbappe does).

I kind of agree with that. The City move is only that appealing if Chelsea wins. As for PSG, replacing Mbappe with 34 year old Messi would weaken them a bit vs top teams, but they'd have plenty on cash to invest in other areas from Mbappe's sale and whatever cash Qatar is willing to throw at it.

You're welcome
Hope he takes a wage cut and stays. The way he played this season he is still worth to keep. More work ethic and less walking.

If he decides to leave there are only two possible destinations. PSG and City. If City wins CL this year than he will probably go to PSG. With all that in mind, I sincerely hope he will stay. In the end he really needs to make up his mind until the end of this month. The board needs to know his decision ASAP because planning the squad with or without Messi is totally different.

Yes and he will surely needs to know who is coming to the team before deciding to stay or not specially the manager.

He ate enough false promises from Barto and trusting Laporta is like trusting the waves in the beach !!

He should just leave so we get this over with, unfortunately or fortunately he would most likely not be leaving (Im up for him leaving and we rebuilding faster). at least we should still be able to end top 4 in La liga and see how it goes

I don't buy the stuff like he leaves so we could be competitive in 10 years, there is no such a thing a 10 years project with zero yield until the end.

Have a good competitive team for CL every year or you have failed.

Aiming to finish at the top 4 is planning for failure.

You'd thing FDJ will stay if Messi's leaves and no serious overhaul is done to finish la ligua 4th place?

No player ever will sign in this team, most of them came just because of Messi's name.

I do agree he needs to leave but not for the same reasons, but knowing he is too emotional Laporta will try to fuck him good.
