Best thing for Argentina and Messi is that they've won a trophy now. They don't have to play with the crazy pressure that eats them up from inside.

Could be the best thing that's ever happened for Messi and Argentina's World Cup chances.

Kane was shocking in the group games. Did nothing against Germany but then got the 2nd goal. Did well against Ukraine but a bum opponent. Denmark he was poor but scored the goal (off a rebound for a missed pen). He could win the tournament for England tonight though and like with Ronaldo at the last Euros (Who didn't even play in the final) that glosses over poor performances prior.

Kane didn't win anything for his club but did top score in the Premier League. Sterling won the title but had a mediocre season with City on a personal level where De Bruyne was their main man going forward.

Messi should have the edge as Kane and Sterling might cancel each other out in the votes.
