Dont think Man City would even be in for Messi in any great way. PSG probably would but they seemed to have moved on and are spending the potential Mbappe money on strengthening rest of team.

At end of career it will be seen as plus point for Messi that he chose to stay at Barca and help rebuild at this time regardless.

Messi was always bound to stay at Barca, he's a humble and quiet family man who is comfortable with his surroundings. When you look past the sporting disappointments, and the fact his family is very settled in Barcelona it was always highly unlikely he was going to up sticks to Manchester, especially at 33/34.

We'll see. The number of times these so-called tier 1 sources have said Messi is going to sign his contract is amazing. I seem to remember a reliable source (can't remember his name) who said he was going to sign his contract in early June and never did. Not to mention, Fabrizio has stated so many times that the contract would be signed days later a number of times, yet he still hasn't signed.

Messi can't sign his contract unless we sort our mess out, so I doubt we'll sort it out by August 2nd.

I guess we'll see what happens by August 2nd. But it wouldn't surprise me if nothing gets done on that date.
