If you are a drug addict, you can either cut off the drugs and face some tough times before healing or you can continue taking your drugs and be under the illusion that the momentarily happiness you are getting is sustainable and has a positive effect in the long run.

If Messi signs, then its another year of players kneeling for Messi and staying in their comfort zone .. another year of players playing out of position .. another year of conceding goals from counter attacks due to lost balls in the middle of the field .. another year of praying that Messi has woke up on the right side of the bed before any significant game .. another year of an amigo aka Aguero playing as a starter even if he sucks

Will I be angry if he signs? Ofcourse I will be. I want to move on, I hate dwelling in the past as its unproductive.. I look forward to building a new Barca team that can achieve some great things hopefully in the next 10 years or so .. and in order to do that players need to step up and Messi needs to step down. Football is way more fun when you have an actual team playing together and winning together.. not bunch of players playing just so that they make things easier for Messi to score. I support Barca .. long before Messi and long after him

To achieve that, we need to get rid of messi, pique, busquets, alba, ter stegen, coutinho, griezmann, braithwaite, umtiti, pjanic, roberto, and then with rest start a new chapter.

It aint happening, and messi is least of our problems.

We didnt have a proper coach(and motivator) for a long time, and those flaws you mentioned are exactly the answer to what a proper coach would do with this side.

Get rid of fucking deadweight first, use messi as the get out of jail free card cause he will soak all the pressure and build on that.
I think laporta and co are in similar state of mind

President Laporta has stayed in Barcelona, and has not traveled to Germany for pre-season. Laporta wants to officially seal Messi's continuity in the coming days. [md]
