I agree and I am not defending him but you do realize that in order do do anything more we need to offload Coutinho, Griezmann and Umtiti? Why in the name of God would anyone sane buy those players and pay them the salary they have here? It's mission impossible. There is no president in the world of football who would be able to fix this in such a short period of time.

On the other side Messi probably wants a 100 mil salary and a competitive squad. That's just unreasonable. He can only get those demands from City or PSG.

Yeah, he sold the only players desirable to other clubs that we can spare.
And of coarse he didn't get outset a single high earner, would you sign a high earner overrated old player from another club for long term contract? Maybe if you want to be fired.
If you are agent, would you have told your client to accept half the wage to go somewhere else and leave a great city like Barcelona?

We need to sort this regardless. Either give him a proper send-off or sort out a new contract. This has taken far too long.

I am not slating him his hands are tied bit some try to make out he has come in ans started to turn things round and made many great decisions but in reality not done much at all that was not already set up.

Boy if I were Umtiti, Pjanic,Griez, Coutinho and the other captains or anyone that doesn't want to take a wage cut I would be packing my bags now and getting the hell out because if Messi doesn't renewal oh boy I can't imagine the shit they are going to get from the fanbase.
