Maybe. But the influence they have had is very real, and I think Barto done everything in his power to appease them, because LaLiga's we're coming and the failure's in Europe were just "a bad day".

Messi is the greatest player of all time, unfortunately he's had one of the most incompetent muppets of all time steering his prime years. But, Barcelona needs a system back, it has become about Messi and what should of been slowly phased out as he's gotten older, has only increased. It's a disgrace that he should have to leave through the back door of an 8-2 thrashing, but Barca needs a team again, a proper team with a functioning system. If Messi can't face that or wait a few months for Bartomeu to be gone, then so be it, but the club cannot buckle to his demands, or 85% of that line up vs Bayern will be starting next season and the inevitable will just be delayed further.

The over-reliance on Messi has lead us to Juve 3-0, PSG 4-0, Liverpool 4-0, Bayern 8-2, Roma 3-0. The give it to Messi and hope for the best does not work, and in fact has shown signs in that last 18 months of being ineffective even in La Liga.

He shouldn't be blamed it's all on Bartomeu, but the club can't buckle to demands either.

This! Fcking this! This board poisoned Barcelona with their shitty decision making 5 or more years ago. It all comes down to Sandro Rosell and then Bartomeu taking the lead. ALL OUR PROBLEMS.
