Messi is and will always be the best player this club will ever have, but Messi himself wasn't a leader and even though I don't want to be one of those fans saying "Screw Messi" 'Hope he goes to the MLS", I do believe he has managed himself wrong in the sense that he never publicly backed the team after Rome, Anfield or debacles such as the one we witnessed vs Bayern. He is our captain, but definitely not our leader.
