Do you honestly not understand that there's a special bond between Messi and Barca fans?
He was developed, nurtured and emerged from Barca, not a mercenary who was bought for 100m. Then he went on to become the greatest player of all time and created countless memories for us, both good and bad over the course of almost two decades. No shit most Barca fans will consider him kind of a son who we want to do well no matter where he is.
