It's funny how people refer to Cristiano as the greatest finisher of all time, but often forget the fact that Messi broke the record for most goals in a calendar year.

Besides, the difference in goals between the two is almost negligible, and only grew in favour of the portuguese the last 2 years as he completely dropped every other task and focused on scoring, which was always his game since 2009-2010. Messi has the better conversion rate, slightly better goal ratio aswell with like 150 games less. And there's also the fact that he's the best in the world in numerous roles: finisher, playmaker, wideman, dribbler etc.

Could've had the top chart for most goals ever scored since years ago, but instead he chose to be the most complete footballer of all time.
