No one thinks Croatia will be easy for Argentina. Brazil lost to them so that says something. I don't get the "easy route" or "easy draw" for any team in the competition really. If a team is in the round of 4, it has been one of the top 4 of the competition. Nothing more needs to be said.

The thing is a Croatia is expected to be easier than a Brazil simply because the latter have a lot more ammunition.

As in if you ask the Argie team, who they'd rather face in the semis, they'd say Croatia anyday.

Australia in the round of 16 was a piss easy oppponent. No two ways about it.


Also getting to the semis doesn't necessarily mean you have been one of the four best teams in the competition. Real Madrid were nowhere near the best team in their recent CL triumph.

Luck is a huge factor in a World Cup but on a given day, Croatia can be a nightmare too with clutch players like Perisic.
