Italian team? So an Italian should get Ballon'Or because EURO is bigger in your eyes than Copa? It makes no sense whatsoever. The best player from last season should get it and that was clearly Messi by a huge margin. He had an amazing second half of the season and his Copa performance was out of this world. This will probably be the easiest decision in the last couple of years. Regarding Lewa, I agree that he should get Ballon d'Or for 2020 but certainly not for 2021.

Why? Because they were a part of a TEAM that won a TEAM trophy? They already got their reward for that, their medal and the trophy of the competition.
