At one point, the club considered the possibility of selling Ansu Fati. It would have been the only way to register Messi. In the end, they decided against it.

He should play, and not be ashamed for wanting to stay. If his dad brings up potential solutions it's only nice of him to do so, nothing to be ashamed of at all.
It's a very strange view that a player should decide when to step back because some people on the internet doesn't see their worth anymore but prefer younger players. No Messi wanted to stay his last years in the club and he is of infinitely more worth to the club as a 34yo than Ansu Fati will ever be.
