People complain about Perez and the SL and all and it certainly has its flaws but UEFA and their two-faced, fake bullshit is honestly worse.

Main issue with SL was the preferential treatments and guaranteed spots the top clubs were awarding themselves and also the poor way the coup was executed otherwise it would've been a nice 7 up Yours to UEFA.

He played only for 2 teams:
1. Barca
2. Argentina

At Barca, he won CLs only when the team was BY FAR the best team in the world.
He never managed to drag a team when the team was = let's say among top3 or top5 best teams.

With Argentina, who is historically one of the best teams in the world, for years we have to read alibies how they suddenly have the worst team ever in the last 15 years (while Messi is playing) and how they dropped from WC and Copa America winners to a horrible team and how Messi can't help them.

We will finally be able to test Messi more.

I almost made a long ass post about how to tweak the SL idea but just did not have the time to think it all through and research. But basically if they get rid of the closed, founding clubs bullshit and made it open through the domestic completions the way the CL etc. works, I am totally for seeing UEFA crumble.
