There is no relevance to his Argentina numbers as no one thinks any top player has to match them at club level or would be questioned.

It was a terrible point and badly made.

Again Messi is Argies all time top scorer, top for assists, won intl trophy, been voted best player at a WC.... yet only time intl football is relevant is to show he hasnt scored as many as did at intl level.

His Argies career is impressive enough.

That is precisely why I brought up Neymar and Suarez having better scoring ratios with their NTs as well for comparison.

I'm surprised that you're missing the point so much in here.

Unfortunately it isn't anymore. If anything, it's a troll heaven.

Yawn

We aren't some small club

Some of the fans here act like we are a small club

Messi treated the club as a business and pocketed a cool 555m for 4 years work

As all the papers said

" the contract that ruined Barcelona"

It is no relevant as goal scoring ratios are not some defining factor of anything and no one bar morons think Messi has to match his scoring record in a different Argies team playing a different role to get full credit for aht did at club level.

Awful point.

Your entire "point" falls apart when CR has had a "meh" career at international level compared to club, much like Messi.

Ronaldo was adaptable, certainly, but you are overselling it.

Its just that they were both surrounded by better squads and manangers at club level, thats the difference.

A bit of a fair point but CR has proven his adaptability at club level. His NT career has also been better but the contrast doesn't maybe stand out as much given that he has at less attacking support and faced much tougher competition in international tournaments as well with Portugal.
