Major Tournaments:
19 in 53 = 0.35 goals per game

-0 goals in 5 Major finals
-0 goals in 8 World Cup k/o games
-0 goals in 6 competitive games vs
-5 goals in 16 Copa Am?rica k/o games = 0.31 per game.

The disparity between the two is GIGANTIC and cannot be ignored.

Dayum

And these are the teams he has scored against in those tournaments…

This logic would suggest Ronaldo getting to two finals and failing to score while his team are able to win without him is more impressive than Messi getting to five finals and not scoring.

Better to go out early to avoid these stats eh.

The friendly g/game vs competitive g/game disparity stat is useless if you don't compare it to those of other players as well.

Go take an intro stats course.

Lol, Rassvet knows exactly what he's doing. CR7's "competitive" game scoring total is padded by bum WC/Euro qualifying teams that Portugal routinely face.

The other trolls know this too. But they'll pretend to be "shocked" and paint this as a "revelation" just to pollute this thread.

The easiest giveaway is that these trolls are having to resort to Brazilian/CR7 fan pages to obtain these 'stats"

BONUS: Assists are conveniently missing from the discussion because Messi has like 50 of them for Argentina

Neymar is by far the best international player on a per game basis for me over the past 9-10 years. Not a surprise to see him up there.

Messi's .41 isn't too bad compared to Suarez's .47 given that Messi plays behind some prolific strikers for Argentina. Argentina has had several quality strikers over the years and it is only natural that Messi would play more of a creative role for Argentina.

Please tell me he's doing a scene as a character and not just appearing in a scene as himself because that'd be the most predictable scene ever: The main character gets a chance to meet his idol, Messi.

We want a propah character!!!

BLAH BLAH

If Messi was playing in French farmers league he would have 80 goals a season

Reality 6 goals

Messi changed the way he plays. Team isn?t built around him. First season in a new team. Beginning of the season was initial shocked from not playing for Barcelona. Second half of the season was due to his Long COVID
