Or like a player who doesn't give a fuck anymore for PSG or CL games. IMHO he is only waiting for a World Cup and that's it. During his career he always aimed to score more goals and now it looks like he doesn't even care if he scores or not. Something died inside of him when he left Barca and moved to Paris. However, if anyone else at the age of 35 had 4 goals and 6 assists in the first 8 games of the season we would praise his performance. There are different standards for him and for all the other players.

He probably "doesn't care" because he can't do shit even if he cares anymore. Probably that's the reason why he took the easy option out in the Uber Eats league.
Stop coping with the "doesn't care" excuse. Literally the easiest excuse for any washed up players.

Messi might be washed up by his own standards, but there are far, far worse players about. The issue is he needs his game time managed. Soon as the games every 3 days roll around he becomes much less effective as you'd expect at 35 years old.
He's got the most assists in league football in 2022, for other players they'd be getting praised to high heaven for that. For Messi because he's been much better, he's finished. Double standards.

Any creative player playing in the French league with Neymar and Mbappe would have a shitload of assists.
Looking well off the pace against half decent teams.

I've watched several of his games this year, except last night. He's been a completely different player to last year. Rasstation may wish otherwise but barring a couple of absent games he's been best player on the pitch half the time. Gaultier has PSG playing much better, getting Messi on the ball more so he can affect the game. Was brilliant against Lille who are a half decent team. Only other decent team they've played is Juve.

Messi boys were doing cartwheeels in here when he scored a brace in the last minutes against Clermon Foot after PSG were already 3-0 up yet now they're back to "he doesn't care" when it's an occasion that actually somewhat matters.

He's a top 5 player of all time, and unless someone comes along to knock him out of that position, it's not gonna change.
