Am I the only one feeling like Liverpool is doing a Tottenham right now? Sell their best player for big money and invest it in quantity rathrer than quality... All these players like Markovic, Manquillo, Moreno etc have potential but are they players that make you better right now? Lovren and Lallana are decent, but not CL class IMO. I think pool will really struggle this year, maybe they'll fit together next season..

Liverpool's situation is different than Tottenham's. Spurs are a shite club that blew their load on a bunch of mediocre players. Liverpool have been champions league regulars --- winners even, not too long ago. They have experience, and have made all these signings with the champions league in mind. They're building a squad to deal with all those midweek games and still be thereabouts come May.

They may have been in crisis for a few years, but that looks to be over. Now they have a young manager with a long term plan, who is instilling a distinct style into a team he built from the ground up. Let's see how they do. I'm optimistic
