It's not as if that defeat has shown anything but that they are a bit too arrogant and assume everyone's the same at Anfield. Which is fine in 95% of cases where opponents don't have enough quality, experience and fortitude to resist them, but doesn't apply to everyone like they like to think. But average teams who didn't get results at Anfield will probably still remain unable to get them, Atleti hasn't shown they're vulnerable in any way.
It'll have everything to do with their ability to reset. Which hasn't been tested. Klopp already had a soundbite ("we won't be defending the title, we will be attacking it"), so he's onboard, but he knows it's a mostly uncharted territory for him also. He's not won back to back titles in a decade.
