Madrid will beat us somehow.
Everything depends how Trent plays that game. Madrid is strongest from his side, if he can survive against Vini, Liverpool have a good chance to win. Problem is, Van Dijk can't help him, he will be to occupied with Mbappe.

Would be really disappointing if true. If Liverpool really is the best team in the world, then they should beat them.
RM looked vulnerable against all good teams they've played this season.

Also. Don't see why Gravenbech enters that XI before Olmo, who's been lethal when fit.
Yamal's overall game is also so good, I'd rather have him over Salah. Once Yamal starts being more clinical and score more goals, he's the best player in the world imo.

Trent has been immaculate defensively this season. According to Trent, Slot actually taught him the technical aspects of defending.

Konate will help him, not VVD. VVD is the LCB. Konate is so good 1 on 1 against fast attackers. He'll bodybag the crybaby. Both our CBs are 6'4, super strong and fast.

Gravenberch has been the best midfielder in the PL and CL this season. He's dominating games from the first matchday.

He was turd under Klopp. Slot rediscovered and reimagined him as a technical DM and he's playing like Prime Viera and carrying our midfield single-handedly.

Szoboszlai and Mac Allister have been below average this season. If Gravenberch doesn't get into this season's combined 11 then no midfielder does lol!

Well then a Gravenbech, Pedri Olmo midfield I say. Casado's been incredible, but Pedri is a different gravy and Olmo a different position.

Textbook defending against a fast tricky player when one on one. Show him away from goal then block from a poor angle, and a covering man picks up the pieces.
The one where he's all alone against 2 players is genius defending.

He doesn't allow Sissoko to pass it to Son who is a clinical finisher, then he forces Sissoko onto his weaker foot and cuts down the angle at the end. Masterclass.

I remember the Tottenham one. I watched that game live.

As you say, the big man makes a calculated decision. Son is the best finisher in that team (alongside Kane at the time) and if he leaves a gap for Sissoko, Son (being ambidextrous) can drag to his right foot and then has has a one on one with the keeper.

But he delays and delays and casts so much doubt in Sissoko's mind. Sissoko's anxiety gets the best of him, he panics, drags to his left foot and takes a wild as fuck shot. And that wild shot is made more likely by Virgil right at the end finally closing him down when the chance to play Son in has definitely dissipated.

Lesser defenders would definitely have closed down Sissoko earlier. Of course there is still some fortune involved - Sissoko despite not being a goalscorer could have scored. But the big man played the odds and percentages in that situation, knowing that he couldn't really prevent a shot at all. He did so superbly there.
