The non-EPL England beats EPL England?

Gittens - Kane - Greenwood

Bellingham - Dier - Gallagher

Walker - Smalling - Tomori - Trent

Trott
Dier's a defender now isn't he. Has he played in defensive midfield for Bayern? I know he played there when younger but figured he was a full-time centre-half now.

Though maybe you're just doing what you can to fit players in, hypothetically. Because you have Kyle LB too.

That XI is good for england, their players aren't only focused on playing in the EPL.
It's a big change. Their players used to hardly go abroad at the height of the PL boom in the 90s and 2000s.

It does them good to experience other cultures and football. Makes it less homogeneous.

The biggest change is how much these teams want the English players due so than reluctance to move.

Trent wont have grown up dreaming of playing for Real Madrid.. but he has won all can with Liverpool and can see why fancies the move once Bellingham got in his ear.,

There's also the disappearance of some top EPL sides like SAF United and Chelsea. But even in the mid 00s Arsenal I think won the league in 2005-06 and at some point they had no English players in the first 11. Mostly made in France.

The young English players have better technique now also plays a part.

The academies were revamped 10/15 years ago and a lot of money ploughed in.

More technical players coming through and improvement in performance both at full intl level and youth categories.

Thing is that powerhouses in Europe won't just sign normal or even very good English players, they have their own talents. They go for the cream of the crop, like Kane, Bellingham, now Trent.

For me, there's a tremendous sign of league weakness to lose your best players once they reach a level high enough to draw attention from the best clubs.

Not really been the case though.

Kane wanted to move within EPL multiple times and Spurs would not agree to it.

Bellignham never made EPL and then Real is better move.

Trent wouldnt move to another EPL side either and Real are bigger club.

Real and Barca are seen as end game by a lot of players. It is not really a weakness of any other league for that to be the case.

There's more to it imo. Take Liverpool with Trent. Do you think a player like Trent swallowed easily that in his prime, the team couldn't even give him Champions League football last season? Or Kane, with his forever losing Tottenham?

Anyone that is very ambitious is gonna have issues swallowing that pill.

The lack of consistency... is something to think about. Chelsea went from winning CL to finishing 12th in EPL in less than 2 seasons. Quite incredible how EPL teams can go from good to shite to good to great, to shite again, and so on...

If those EPL teams wouldn't be so damn frail... players wouldn't really want to move as much.

That is not relevant to point made though.. Real and Barca are seen as bigger clubs. That is not some kind of revelation.

Salah and VVD not ambitious? Haaland? Rodri? All the top players City have had that could have moved.

Some players it will suit some it wont.

The EPL has many teams that can compete and it is not 'frailty' for some players to want to move to Real or Barca.

There are far more players that will move into EPL as a move they want to make than out of it.

I think it's more likely for big stars from EPL to move out of EPL than for other big stars to move in. And I'm not talking only about Madrid. We can put Barca aside in this discussion, since there's no big players operations without means to fund it.

But I'd say it's much more likely for Bayern to sign some another big star from EPL than to see a top EPL side sign Musiala for example. It seems to me other big clubs in other leagues are simply more high profile than what EPL has to offer.

Comes down to if Real and Barca want the best EPL players and can afford it then they will turn heads.

Some will stay and be happy in EPL and others will do what they can to move.

It will impact very few players in comparison to those that will leave lesser La Liga sides and end up in EPL.

There has probably been one player in close to 20 years that has been the best EPL player leaving to La Liga and it was Suarez and before him Ronaldo.

A load could have made the move and rejected it.

Alisson
Frimpong Konate Virgil Robinson/Kerkez
Macca Gravenberch Szoboszlai
Salah Isak Rodrygo

Is Konate staying?
Isak is not coming, for sure. Newcastle won't sell for any money.

But if you put Etikite for Isaak, and a good LW (not sure Rodrygo will be there either), it is still a good XI
