This is a complicated match. 3 upcoming fixtures with Villarreal in a short span means this first match is a tone setter for the entire confrontation. If Barca go in and run them over, they set themselves in good shape for the other 2 games. If Villarreal plays tough and complicates things, then they gain confidence and belief and we're in store for some hard fought and complicated 2 more games in Copa.

I would keep rotations to a minimum personally. Only Rafinha for Iniesta and Bartra for Mascherano I would venture. Seeing as Bartra was not in the squad, I'd only venture Rafinha for Iniesta truthfully.

Strange. I believe Pique can avoid a yellow, but Alves? I don't think so, at one point he will misplace a pass, and to make up for it push someone at the back so they fall during a counter and get the yellow.

He will then laugh as he jogs away while shaking his head at the ref as he always does
