Taking the season into account as a whole, Messi has been brilliant this year (best player in the world form). He's been an absolute beast at Camp Nou. He has struggled in some away games, and hasn't scored for a while. Hopefully he regains his goal scoring form on the road.
When Messi isn't on, the team still struggles. The first 2 goals tonight was purely off of Messi's brilliance.
But the team as a whole played superb tonight. the score doesn't reflect the dominance over Athletico.
