There were 3 shots on goal during the 1st half. It was a half to forget, realllly bad. Espanyol could had set the game to bed with the chances they had. They also gave up after Pique's goal.

The main thing is that the defense need to prevent the first goal. After scoring the equalizing goal everything went fine, but we're not used to act with that confidence like today. Non the less, nice to see Leo score again and that win was very important.

It was far from a terrible first half. We had one major defensive fuck-up which we paid for. Otherwise the team was very lively and pressed Espanyol massively. Espanyol on their part, gave 200% in that first half something which led directly to their second half collapse. The reason behind our pleasant stroll in the second half was the fact that Espanyol run themselves to the ground in order to keep us at bay. The first half was very much a war of attrition.

Nonsense. Leo messi won us the match. We played a very weak first half, created few chances, no movement. Espanyol could also have scored more goals. Messis goal was the only thing - and it was a solo goal, individual effort. Just the same with 2-1. Look at the touches - pure genius. Individual effort. 3-1 was a corner kick - and we have got like 1 goal out of 120 corners this season. More accidental - good individual effort by pique though. At that moment espanyol gave up, they lost the energy needed to win. But we all know that teams like espanyol can keep up the workrate through the match as long as the result is there. 3-1 was to much, and they collectively collapsed. Messi won this match for us.
