Looks like Valverde is hell bent on playing Roberto somewhere so if he want to start Semedo at RB he'll bench Rakitic or Coutinho for him.

HA HA, you actually think Valverde is ever going to bench Rakitic? Will NEVER happen, NEVER EVER.

I mean the guy just got back from vacation about a week ago after playing for the whole summer, and EV of course benches our two best pre-season performers in Arthur and Rafinha for him immediately, let alone Coutinho. Wait till he develops a boner like that on Vidal, then Dembele will be back on the bench too, welcomed by Coutinho and Arthur.

Jesus just arrived from Brazil in the same situation as Arthur and he played and did great.

Coutinho on the bench because of his 'prominent role' during the WC? What. Coutinho is on the bench because Valverde wants to keep Roberto happy. Coutinho is also on the bench because he is a good guy and less likely to make a fuss out of it.

Arthur has guys like Rakitic, Sergio, Sergi and Vidal ahead of him. Experienced players who have been great in European competition for years. Get a grip on reality, Arthur always was a long-term project.

And fine, believe in conspiracies. Roberto deserves to play, not sure where you're going with this. It's quite frankly silly to believe that Valverde just wants to keep Sergi happy even though he doesn't perform great in games and during training. Why would he do that? You could say that about Suarez perhaps, but Sergi? Also, Sergi could have played instead of Semedo, Rakitic or Sergio as well. I guess he wants to keep these three guys happy as well? Certainly more plausible than that Coutinho's not at 100% yet. Keep talking about conspiracies, dude.

In life if you keep repeating things that didn't work in the past, you won't be successful. You need to try new things in order to make it work.

When we look at the first 11 it's hard to be optimistic about the season if we keep repeating the same mistakes. New season, new chance to win titles, new players aaannddd Barca is using the same formation, with the same players (1 year older and without Iniesta), the same approach.

What's the point of spending millions in signings and just leave them warming the bench? What's the point of bringing different players capable of playing in different positions to use the same formation/style? Oh boy...
Anyway, I hope this team suceeds.

He's our 2nd best player by quite a margin... AND we paid how much for him. No excuse for him starting on the bench. Trying to keep our "Catalan" "4th Captain" "La Masia" Roberto happy this looks like.. don't agree with it at all.
