Only way we are passing forward is if we pass it from the center wide. That's like the way the defending team wants us to pass. I guess Valverde doesn't know why in the game of football the open man is always wide.

Instead of finding clever ways of generating a free man centrally his possession play is as simple as it gets. Pass the ball wide to the players who are left free by the other team. Barely seen this half any vertical passes in central areas.

Why did we even sign Arthur? Everyone can pass the ball wide to Dembele, Coutinho and Messi and then sit around expecting them to do some personal magic.
