What's the point of discussing, if we can't point out the problems everyone sees? It's a good thing we're scrapping wins, but the team's form need to improve. Nothing has been won yet.
Yeah I'm not denying that our form has looked poor as of late, but its hard to not excited when we beat top teams when it counts, and today we just did that.

well, 3 intense matches vs violent espanyol, with bilbao also 3 matches and tough game against malaga, doing their job, players are tired.

We've played a lot of matches lately, so most likely the reason for our inconsistent form. I reckon we'll pick up soon though.

Third bad performance in a row.
The first 20-25mins were just horrible once again. We had no chance against that strong Atlético.
Only when AM changed their gameplan to more classical bus parking Barça woke up and finally started creating some chances and luck had it that our conversion rate was top notch in the first half today. It also helped that Atlético were playing way to hard, especially with Mallenco being ref so they basically defeated themselves today.

Second half was mediocre at best. At first Barça could not get or keep control over the match against ten Rojiblancos and even after the second expulsion they were not able to finish the game so Madrid could still have taken away a point with just one lucky punch.

The league title should be very close now if the team won't lose it completely, but for CL they really need to step it up.

Because there ARE things to complain about. You think Lucho now thinks ''ah well, another 3 points lah, are we awesome or what?''. Not a chance.
take it however you want, we still beat atletico and got the 3 points, there's things to improve on, but they are fixable.

Expecting a lot of people to say we have played 3 bad matches in a row blah blah, you guys should concentrate on the positive aspect of this

we have beat them how many times in a row now? It's no coincidence, we have their number, sure things can be much prettier playing-wise but we are ahead of Madrid by 7 points and if we win our left over match we are ahead of atletico by 6, how can you guys complain?

Exactly, we usually have a down period in January. But the fact that we are scraping by these games is a great achievement.

You're welcome
I am proud of Barca. Even in bad form or rough periods on the calendar we are forcing positive results.

I am happy that we turned it over while there was still 22 men on the pitch, so no one can say anything to minimize our victory in that regard. As for everything else, there's a bit of fatigue (first half) from a very tight schedule in past 30 days, and a bit of slowing down (second half) as Lucho obviously thought it was over. But imo we should've stay sharper in the 2nd half, score another one, and then ease off. Nevertheless important win against greatest rival atm.

We went from "haven't beaten atletico in 6 games" to beating them for the sixth consecutive game real quick.

I tend to differ with you concerning the first half. They didn't change their gameplan in my opinion but the way we played forced them to retrench in their half.

They also ran a lot and it was clear that they couldn't keep up the pace for 90 minutes.

I've missed the first 25 minutes of the second half but I read that we were really suffering.

Our problem at the moment , in my opinion, is constancy. There are phases of the game where we play very high level football if not the best football in the world and we tend to make mistakes. Once again, in my opinion, and I may be wrong, apart from the fact that we might be tired, this could also be due to the fact that teams are starting to adapt to our new style and maybe Lucho will have to make some adjustments.
