They were better but not a ridiculous 5 times better against a team who didn't play 11 behind the ball. Leipzig didnt do much in the final third. Maybe a couple of chances early in the game

Neutralizing them in midfield is key. And as [MENTION=15262]serghei[/MENTION] said, we don't have quality wingers to begin with. This is basically the type of midfield EV used in the 3-0 win in 17/18.

And if he'd be available today he'd play as well. It's a reality we are facing a lot of problems with injuries and lack of proper squad planning. This is why we have do do well with what we have currently and stop being so picky.

I'd personally play this diamond 4-4-2 in CL as well.

Nah, not really. EV had proper wingers like Malcom, Dembele and left them on the bench.

So we're basically talking about having options but taking tactical decisions in a direction, vs taking a decision because you have no viable options otherwise.
